Clever School Systems is built around modules — each one covering a distinct area of school management. Rather than giving you everything at once, the platform lets you enable only the modules your school actually needs, keeping the interface clean and focused for your staff.

Available Modules

The table below lists every module available in Clever School Systems and what it is used for.

Enabling a Module

You can enable any module at any time from the Administration section. Modules are activated instantly and become available to your staff straight away.
1

Go to Administration > Modules

Open the Administration section from the left navigation sidebar, then select Modules.
2

Find the module you want to enable

Browse or search the list of available modules to find the one you want to activate.
3

Click Enable

Click Enable next to the module. It immediately appears in the left navigation for all users who have been assigned a role for it.
Enabling a module for the first time pre-loads default content so you can start using it straight away — for example, the Safety Audit module comes pre-populated with its full set of 280 checks across 35 categories.

Disabling a Module

You can disable any module at any time. Once disabled, the module disappears from the left navigation and your staff can no longer access it — but all the data you have entered is fully preserved. If you re-enable the module later, everything is exactly as you left it. To disable a module, go to Administration > Modules, find the active module, and click Disable.

After Enabling a Module

Once you have enabled a module, your next step is to assign at least one Manager for it. Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the module and can assign Owners within it.
After enabling a module, you must assign at least one Manager for it. Until a Manager is assigned, Administrators will receive weekly reminder alerts prompting you to complete this step.
1

Go to Administration > Users

Open the Administration section from the left navigation sidebar, then select Users.
2

Find the staff member to appoint as Manager

Locate the staff member you want to make responsible for the module.
3

Assign the Module Manager role

Assign them the [Module] Manager role — for example, Risk Assessment Manager or Compliance Audit Manager. They now have full management access to that module and can begin assigning Owners and configuring it for your school.
