This guide walks you through everything you need to do to register your school, enable your first module, and get your staff working in Clever School Systems. Most schools are up and running within a single session — follow the steps below in order and you will be ready to go.
1

Register Your School

Go to https://cleverschool.systems/register and complete the registration form with your school’s details. Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email containing your login credentials.
If your school is part of a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) or Local Authority (LA), do not register individually. Contact support@cleverschool.systems first so that all schools in your group can be linked together correctly.
2

Visit https://cleverschool.systems and sign in using the credentials provided in your registration email. You will land on the Administration dashboard, where you can begin configuring your school.
3

Enable a Module

From the Administration section, select Modules and enable the modules your school needs. Each module is switched on individually — as soon as you enable one, it appears in the left-hand navigation and is ready to configure.
4

Assign a Manager

In the Administration section, go to Users, find the staff member you want to put in charge of a module, and assign them the Manager role for that module. Managers can then configure the module and assign Owners to specific areas or items within it.
Until a Manager has been assigned to an enabled module, Administrators will receive weekly reminder emails. Assign a Manager as soon as possible to stop these reminders and ensure the module has an active owner.
5

Invite Staff

Use the Users section to add other staff members to the platform. You can invite them by email or import them in bulk. Assign each person the appropriate role for the modules they will be working with — your Managers can also assign Owners within their own modules once they are set up.
The first time you enable a module, Clever School Systems automatically pre-loads sensible default content — such as checklists, standard compliance items, and template structures — so you do not have to start from scratch. You can edit, add to, or remove this content at any time.
