What is Clever School Systems?
Clever School Systems uses a modular approach: rather than giving every school a fixed set of tools, the platform lets you pick and enable only the modules that are relevant to you. This keeps the experience focused and avoids overwhelming staff with features they will never use. Each module is activated by an Administrator — typically the Headteacher or Business Manager — from the Administration section of the platform. Once a module is enabled, it appears in the left-hand navigation and is ready to use. The Administrator then assigns one or more Managers to each module. Managers take ownership of that module’s day-to-day operation, configure its content, and assign Owners to specific areas or items within it. Other staff members interact with the platform according to the roles they have been given.Available Modules

Roles and Permissions
Clever School Systems uses a three-tier role structure that keeps responsibilities clear and access appropriately controlled.- Administrator — Sets up the school, enables and disables modules, and manages user accounts and role assignments across the whole platform. This role is typically held by the Headteacher or Business Manager.
- Manager — Takes responsibility for a specific module. Managers configure the module’s content, monitor progress, and assign Owners to individual areas or items within it. A school can have multiple Managers for the same module if needed.
- Owner / User — Operates individual items within a module (for example, owning a specific risk assessment or a development planning action). Staff members interact with the platform according to the roles they have been given by their Manager.
