What You Can Do
The Administration section gives you full control over your school’s Clever School Systems setup. As an Administrator, you can:- Enable and disable modules — activate only the modules your school needs, and turn them off at any time without losing data
- Add and manage staff accounts — invite staff by email and manage their accounts throughout their time at your school
- Assign roles and permissions per module — control what each staff member can see and do within each individual module
- Configure external authentication (SSO) — allow staff to sign in with their existing Google or Microsoft school credentials
- Manage user statuses — keep your user list accurate by archiving leavers and blocking access when needed
- Set up group-level controls — for schools operating within a MAT or LA, certain settings can be managed centrally across all schools in your group
Accessing Administration
From any page in Clever School Systems, click Administration in the left navigation sidebar to open the Administration section. If you don’t see Administration in the sidebar, you don’t currently have the Administrator role. Ask your school’s Administrator to grant you the Administrator role before continuing. In multi-school groups (MATs and LAs), some Administration settings can be managed centrally by the group administrator, so individual schools don’t need to configure them separately. If certain settings appear read-only or pre-configured, they may have been set at group level.
